Feds say prostitution ring used websites, sex parties to hook up clients

Detroit— The FBI arrested three men Thursday for their roles in a prostitution ring that organized parties at suburban spots, including bowling alleys, where prostitutes offered goodie bags filled with underwear and golden tickets for free sexual favors.

The sex ring relied on several websites, run by the men, which linked prostitutes with customers, who attended "meet and greet" parties across the state, Windsor and the Midwest. The prostitution ring also might have employed an underage prostitute, according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Detroit.

The ring is at least the second major prostitution service busted in Metro Detroit recently. Last year, federal investigators broke up the Miami Companions prostitution ring, one of the largest in the country.

It is a bunch of crap.. When I worked in MI I was a member of both sites.. they did not run an agency.. or work girls. The parties were infamous for being a great time. I never got to attend one but talked to several girls who did. I meet some great women from both sites – all independents who used the site to make friends.

The parties are what brought them down – to public – to wild – but they were nothing more than swinger parties. There was no organized running of a prostitution ring. 

They will not get a conviction if it ever gets to court.

The cool thing the site did for both hobbyists and providers is that it acted as a buffer. If you were not a member you did not know many of the women existed, if you did not have reverences from other members you had a hard time meeting anyone.

There was a place for the women to note that they meet you and you were safe to meet.

 

There were reviews about the women that made it easy to decide if she might be a good fit.
