I love to holler and bitch, especially concerning the revisionists of history that our fabulous American society has conjured up in this information age.  We should not have to be concerned with that insane fool in Libya.  If the "Great Communicator," that B-movie antique asshole that occupied the White House from '80 to '88; you know, the one the Republicans love to present as the Greatest American of the Greatest Generation, had performed his job, Gaddafi would have been dead for more than 25 years.  Reagan had the chance and the support in '86 when he ordered the air strike in response to the Disco bombing in Germany that killed some Americans.

The two-bit actor allowed the Air Force to use some old F-111 crap bombers (you know the one the brilliant but useless McNamara value engineered) to stir up some sand.  Killed one of Gaddafi's babies.  The result, Libyan agents blow up the Pan-Am 747 over Lockerbie, Scotland.  Guess Ol' Ronnie got him good, eh?  There were bumper stickers around Houston at the time: " How do you spell relief, Mr. President?  F-111."  Should have read: "Relief is measured in Megatons, reach for Minuteman II."

I agree now is the wrong move at the wrong time.  What will replace the fool in the weird garb? Probably not a good outcome; and Libya is Europe's problem. At least we would have had a 25 year plus head start…
