Embedding video – copying the video so you can see it on this site instead of just posting the link.

This is easier than you think.. it is just some copy and paste functions. You should have 2 windows open this site and youtube – you should already have your message in the new message box – put the cursor at the end of your message….

1. Find the video on youtube.com that you want to embed.

2. The important section is to the right of the video – see highlighted box..

Look for the Embed code box.. click on customize on the right of the box – that will open the options..

uncheck – include related videos and enable delayed cookies

check show border

3. Click on the embedded text in the box – 1 click should highlight the text – right mouse click and copy.

4. Back to this site.. make sure your cursor is still at the end of the message.. then click on the HTML button – it is to the left of the spellcheck button.

This will open a new window that shows the message and a some funny coding.. ignore the coding. put your cursor at the end on the coding and text.. right click and paste..

5. this should paste the embedded text and code from youtube..  it will start with <object and end with </object>

6. click on Update

7. you will see the outline of the video

8. click on Save New Topic

You should see the video in your saved post…
